NEWBURN BRIDGE CLUB
Join Inga and Neil for a friendly game of Duplicate bridge every Monday and Thursday between 1pm and 3pm. 
We play 12+ boards of pre-dealt hands and although we expect players to use a recognised bidding system such as ‘Acol’, our emphasis is on sociability rather than competition. Table money is £2.50.

Newburn Judo Club

Newburn Judo Club is a friendly well established club, it welcomes new members and the first session is free of charge.

Judo sessions are run on Mondays and Thursdays 5PM - 7PM for those 5+.


Tae-Kwon DO

The Korean art of self defence for children aged 5+. Sessions are Wednesday  at 4.30pm and Fridays 7.00pm 

Little tigers for aged 3-5years runs on a Wednesday 4.30pm - 5.30pm.

Throckley Magpies


Throckley Magpies are a junior football team based at Newburn.  They have an excellent set up with teams from under 7s through to under 17s and are always on the look out for new players.

Elswick Harriers

We are home to Elswick harriers running club. The offer running for aged 10 years +. The club is highly popular with large groups for a variety of ages and a strong adult running community.

Table Tennis club


​Every Tuesday and Thursday we now have a table tennis club open to all ages and ability. The club is friendly, good humoured and perfect to get into social sport.  The club runs 10.00 am - 12.00 PM on a Tuesday and Thursday. Cost £4.50 a session or £4.00 with our Newburn Activity Centre discount card.

Newburn Archers


Newburns popular and friendly club meets regularly and welcomes new members of all ages and abilities.  Club times are Fridays 7.00pm - 9.00pm and Sundays 2.00pm - 4.00pm. The club also run beginners courses throughout the year.
